In order to further understand about your issue, I would like to clarify with you on the following:

1. how are you charging the device? Is it charging via PC or AC adaptor? Are you using the Sony supplied Micro-USB cable and recommended specs for USB AC adaptor? You can find the system requirements in this link.
2. where does the blinking light come from? Is it at point 14 or 16?
